Web Structure
- In addition to choosing a technical basis for a Web site, there is also the question of choosing a technical structure for the site. This is analogous to the difference between the architecture of the site and its design, and the choices are equally important for a successful project. Although RedClover has a number of successful clients who use a variety of approaches, we suggest that most clients follow the following structure for maximum flexibility, growth potential, and expandability. We recommend that the site:
- …be data driven;
- …use dynamic output and structural elements;
- …use CSS 2.0 for content positioning and display controls;
- …and implement “Web 2.0” standards.
